After sun,
make-it-yourself body butter
Granola Girl says:
Take care of your skin naturally with my fabulous
body butter! This recipe can be altered as long as you substitute
an oil for an oil and a butter for a butter.
2 oz beeswax
3 oz cocoa butter
3 oz shea butter
6 oz sweet almond oil
1/2 tsp. vitamin E oil
1 tbsp. aloe vera
3/4 cup cornstarch
Mix & heat beeswax, cocoa butter and shea butter
until all are liquid, mix in oils. Then add cornstach, and pour
into containers.
You can use 6 ounces of cocoa butter and skip the
shea butter altogether, if you like, but keep in mind that cocoa
butter has a strong smell. You can also substitute oils, as long
as an oil replaces an oil. For instance, use 3 oz. grapeseed oil
and 3 oz. sweet almond oil, or 3 oz. olive oil and 3 oz. apricot
oil.
The cornstarch adds a silky feel and helps it go
on smoothly. Smooth on liberally and enjoy!
